They were affordable and efficient and overall did just a great job on our backwater valve! They even submitted the rebate forms for us.
We were extremely pleased with the work we received with DrainCom. Vlad in particular was excellent. We had tree roots growing through the pipes in front of our house and had the pipes dug up and replaced. We reached out to several plumbers. Vlad provided the most detailed assessment by far before providing us with a quote. Other companies told us we would have to take down our porch before completing the work but Vlad realized that this was not actually necessary, saving us a huge amount of time and money. The quote was very reasonable and less than other companies. The work was done on time and with no surprises. I would strongly suggesting using draincom for plumbing work.
DrainCom team turned what started out as a stressful and challenging situation (drain collapse) into a positive experience. There commitment to professionalism, state-of-the-art techniques, and exceptional customer service makes DrainCom the go-to company for drain and sewer cleaning needs. I wholeheartedly recommend DrainCom to anyone seeking reliable and top-notch services.
Friendly and professional service. 2nd time I have used DrainCom over the last two years and both times I have been very impressed with their speed (issue fixed on the spot when they arrived at my house) and cost competitiveness. Highly recommend Val and team - plus Val didn't mind that my dog barked at him while he worked!
We had a small flood in our basement, and contacted DrainCom to come in and provide an assessment and quote for the work. Our experience with DrainCom was highly positive, from the initial call to the finished product. They arrived quickly to identify the issue (roots blocking our pipe) and provide an outline of the work to be done (digging down to replace the pipe and installing a backwater valve). Communication was excellent, especially with their office - they kept us informed throughout the project about what would happen and when, and answered all our questions. We thought we might lose a tall cedar during the digging, but they were able to work around it. The workers were determined to finish the work in one (long) day, as it was going to rain the next day. They had to remove a door and appliances during the project, but returned the next day to put it all back in place. We would definitely recommend DrainCom to anyone with plumbing needs!

If water has ever come up your floor drain, a backwater valve is your first fix. We camera the lateral, install the valve indoors or outdoors with a permit, and file for the rebate.
In some older Markham homes, foundation drains feed the sanitary sewer. During a storm, that groundwater has nowhere to go but back into your basement. We disconnect the weeping tile and send it to a new sump pump. That combination qualifies for the largest rebate, up to $5,000.
Roots from mature trees in Unionville and Markham Village crack old sewer pipes. We reline them trenchless, without digging up your front yard, and the rebate covers up to $2,500.
Main Street Unionville and Markham Village have heritage homes on stone and rubble. We repoint, parge and install interior drainage that keeps the floor dry without stressing the old wall.
Subdivisions from the 1970s to today develop settlement cracks, tie rod leaks and water at the floor-wall joint. We inject cracks and add drainage where pressure builds.
We upgrade pumps, add battery backup and alarms, and rebuild flooded window wells with proper drains.
Our waterproofing company serves every Markham neighbourhood with interior basement waterproofing, exterior basement waterproofing, sewer relining and rebate-ready installs. Searching for basement waterproofing near me in Unionville, Cornell or Thornhill? We come to you.
Not sure which one you need? It comes down to how water enters, your foundation type and access around the house.
With interior waterproofing, also known as internal basement waterproofing, nothing outside gets disturbed. We cut a trench around the inside perimeter, set new weeping tile, add a drainage membrane on the walls and send the water to a sump pit. It’s the gentle option for heritage stone foundations on Main Street Unionville and in Markham Village. Expect $100 to $240 per linear foot.
Exterior waterproofing stops water at the source. We expose the foundation to the footing, repair cracks and mortar joints, apply a waterproof membrane, install new weeping tile, then backfill and restore the landscaping. It suits 1970s to 90s homes in Milliken, Thornhill and Buttonville with cracked walls. Expect $150 to $400 per linear foot.
