Basement waterproofing in Woodbridge for leaky basements and cold cellars. Our waterproofing company fixes cantina leaks, cracks and sewer backups, from the old village by the Humber to Vellore.

Needed someone to waterproof our basement and DrainCom was efficient, polite and thorough. The friendly women I spoke with over the phone several times was quick to respond and able to schedule the service much faster then other companies. The crew that came out worked extremely hard to get the job done on time and cleaned up after themselves. I have only had it in place a few weeks so I can’t comment on long term quality but we are really pleased for now.
I used DrainCom for my basement waterproofing in the house. I had such a great experience from their team! They were reliable, trustworthy, knowledgeable and professional from start to finish. The services and quality of performed work were excellent. I've already recommended DrainCom to several of my friends. Highly recommended!
Great service and great quality! I had the pleasure of dealing with Serge and his crew. They were prompt, efficient, and worked hard to get the job completed from beginning to end. Serge kept me in the loop throughout the entire process. I highly recommend DrainCom and will most definitely be reaching out to Serge for future work to my property. Thank you DrainCom for such an awesome experience!!
Thank you for your review, we appreciate you taking the time to provide us with your feedback. We are happy to know you were satisfied with your experience. It was our pleasure to be of service to you and we look forward to your referrals! Wishing you all the best, DrainCom Team
I live in the Scarborough area and we demolished and rebuilt our home. We are surrounded with plenty of water and we had major issues with our subpump. I called Drain Com who did an amazing job! Better than than the builder who did not care about our home. Drain Com has excellent customer service, fair price, you can text them anytime you want and they come, friendly, professional, experienced, gives the best solution, they are not WAM BAM thank you mam and you never see them again, they answer the phone, they are only a text away. I would recommend them to anyone. I also used them for some plumbing work and it doesn't get better than Drain Com. We are considering building another home and when things are finalized we plan on using Drain Com from beginning to end because you need competant trades people to do the job right the first time and not some yahoo that doesn't know what they are doing. Our home is our investment! By the way their work is warrentied. Lastly, the builder during the construction destroyed my nieghbours membrane and it was Drain Com who came out and fixed my nieghbours membrane which now looks better than ours. I WILL and FOREVER RECOMMEND DRAIN COM TO ANY ONE! HANDS DOWN. THEY ARE 100 OUT OF 100. Thank you for reading my review but it just had to be said. Alex Phill - Scarborough.

See All 100 ReviewsThe cold room under your front porch is one of the most common leaks we see in Woodbridge. The porch slab is the cellar’s ceiling, and it was rarely waterproofed well. Over time it cracks, the membrane fails and water drips straight onto your shelves of wine, tomatoes and preserves.
Signs to watch for:
How we fix it: we expose the porch slab and walls from outside, repair cracks, apply a new waterproof membrane and restore drainage. When outside access isn’t possible, we seal from inside and add drainage. Either way, the room stays cold and dry, the way a cantina should be.
| Era | Where | What fails | Our fix |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1950s and 60s | Village core, east of the Humber to Kipling and Martin Grove | Block walls, clay weeping tile, old laterals | Exterior membrane, new weeping tile, camera and valve |
| 1970s and 80s | North to Rutherford | Cove joint seepage, tie rods, cold cellars | Interior drainage, injection, cellar waterproofing |
| Late 1980s and 90s | Woodbridge Highlands, Sonoma Heights, Vellore | Settlement cracks, window wells | Crack injection, well drains |
| 2000s onward | North of Major Mackenzie | Backfill settling, busy sump pits | Crack repair, pump upgrade with backup |
In a heavy storm, sewage can rise through your floor drain. We camera the lateral, clear roots with hydro jetting, and install a backwater valve with a permit. Vaughan's subsidy pays half, up to $750.
Wet clay pushes water through the cove joint. Interior weeping tile and a sump pit, or exterior drainage at the footing, give it a way out.
We seal cracks and tie rod leaks with injection from inside, often in one visit.
We replace worn pumps and add battery backup and alarms, so the next storm doesn't catch you off guard.
We rebuild wells with drains tied into the weeping tile and fill them with clear stone.
Tell us what you’re seeing. We find the real cause, give you a written price and fix it once.
Woodbridge is part of the City of Vaughan, so you qualify for its sanitary backwater valve subsidy: 50% of the cost, up to $750, including labour, materials, permit and tax. You need a licensed installer, a permit and an inspection, and you must apply within a year. We handle the permit and give you the invoice.
As a waterproofing company serving Woodbridge, we handle interior basement waterproofing, exterior basement waterproofing, cold cellar repair and backwater valves. Searching for basement waterproofing near me in Pine Grove, Vellore or Sonoma Heights? We come to you.
Both methods work. The best one for your home depends on the leak, the foundation and the lot.
Interior waterproofing, sometimes called internal basement waterproofing, works from inside. We break out a strip of floor along the walls, install perforated weeping tile, cover the walls with a dimpled DELTA-MS membrane and pipe the water to a sump pump. It suits finished basements where you’d rather not disturb the yard. Interior work runs $100 to $240 per linear foot.
Exterior waterproofing treats the outside of the foundation. We dig down to the footing, seal cracks, apply a membrane, replace the weeping tile and backfill with clean stone. It’s how we fix cold cellars under the porch and 1950s and 60s block walls in the village core. Typical cost: $150 to $400 per linear foot.

In October 1954, Hazel turned the Humber from about 20 metres wide to 107 metres. Homes in Pine Grove and Woodbridge were damaged and 20 houses were destroyed. A diversion channel followed in 1962, and the TRCA now manages floodplain rules. Homes near the river still sit on higher groundwater.
Woodbridge clay holds water against foundations after every storm.
Many homes were built with a cantina under the front porch. That slab takes rain, snow and salt every year.
From 1950s village homes to 2000s subdivisions, each era brings its own weak points.
What every job includes:
Over 20 years we’ve waterproofed more than 300,000 linear feet of foundation walls and installed about 700,000 feet of membrane and weeping tile. Our office is at 1307 Kamato Rd., Mississauga, ON L4W 2M2. Hours: Monday to Friday 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday and Sunday 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., with emergency response by phone for active flooding and sewer backups.
The porch slab is the cellar’s roof, and it was seldom waterproofed well. Cracks and failed membranes let rain and meltwater straight in.
Yes. We waterproof from outside so the room keeps its natural temperature. No insulation or heat is added unless you want it.
The TRCA maps floodplain areas. Homes near the river often have higher groundwater even outside the mapped zone. We check your drainage either way.
Yes. Woodbridge is in the City of Vaughan, so the 50% backwater valve subsidy, up to $750, applies.
It depends on where the water enters and how much access you have. We’ll recommend one after the inspection.
Woodbridge is a short drive up the 427 from our Mississauga base. Active leaks get priority.
Interior waterproofing runs $100 to $240 per linear foot and exterior $150 to $400. Cold cellar work is quoted after inspection.
Yes. Our 25-year warranty goes with the house.
