Basement waterproofing in Halton Hills for Georgetown, Acton and rural homes. Our waterproofing company repairs stone foundations, cracks and wet basements near the Credit River and Silver Creek.

This was actually the second time we went with this company. They did an excellent job with a previous job fixing a drainage issue at the front of our house and installing a back flow valve. This time around we needed to do some waterproofing and installation of a sump pump in the backyard of our home. It was difficult to get to as we had no rear or side access to the area. The only access was through the front basement entrance leading to the yard. There were a few contractors that were hesitant to take the job because of this issue, but DrainCom and their crew said they would make it work. And they did! The best part about this company is their dedication to customer service and their prompt and professional communication. We live in the United States currently and because of the pandemic, we were not able to come home to be there in person to deal with the renovations. DrainCom made it very easy for us to communicate and manage the project remotely and were very understanding of our situation. We highly recommend this company for all drainage and waterproofing work!
DrainCom waterproofed a section of my basement quickly and economically. They gave me an estimate (with 3 options) and worked around my schedule to get the work done. I am happy with the work and the service they provided.
Called various plumbing companies this thanksgiving day and the only company willing to come out and help us as draincom with no additional hidden fee's. Leslie the plumber fixed our problem and was very pleasant to deal with. highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a honest and trustworthy company. thank you leslie and draincom for your help this long weekend my family and i appreciate it.
Hi, last week I got a major problem with the drain at my house, which was successfully resolved with Alex and his crew. Alex was very professional and polite, he explained everything and gave me couple options to choose from. Price was very reasonable as well. Job was done fast and very clean! Highly recommended!
We urgently needed a basement technician specialist for our newly purchased home to check everything in terms of waterproofing, mould, potential cracks and checking the drains. Maria was very understanding and worked to find someone to squeeze into the roster on a very busy day. Sergio, the technician lead, was very knowledgeable - they checked everywhere diligently, inside and out, and provided some recommendations to ensure the longevity of the home. He conducted his work very professionally. He checked everything and did not upsell any unrequired services even when I probed. Very reliable and trustworthy. Highly recommended!!

See All 100 ReviewsHomes from the 1800s around Main Street and Church Street in Georgetown, and in old Acton, sit on stone. Mortar washes out, water seeps between the stones, and the basement stays damp. Digging next to an old stone wall can do more harm than good. We repoint the joints, then install interior drainage and a membrane that keeps the floor dry while the wall breathes.
North Georgetown drains toward the Credit River and Silver Creek, and Glen Williams sits right in the valley. Groundwater here rises fast in spring. We lay weeping tile at the footing or under the slab and add a sump pump with battery backup.
Georgetown South and other newer areas have poured walls that crack as backfill settles. Tie rods weep. We inject cracks and tie rods from inside, usually in one visit.
In a heavy storm, the sanitary sewer can back up into your floor drain. A backwater valve blocks it, and Halton pays 50% up to $1,600.
On a well and septic, sewer backups aren't the issue. Surface water and groundwater are. We fix grading, install French drains to move water away, and set up sump pumps that discharge well clear of your well and septic bed.
We rebuild window wells with proper drains and reroute downspouts away from the foundation. Halton covers downspout disconnection at 100%, up to $900.
| Work | Halton pays |
|---|---|
| Weeping tile disconnection plus sump pump | 100%, up to $6,500 |
| Exterior storm drain disconnection | 100%, up to $6,500 |
| Downspout disconnection | 100%, up to $900 |
| Sewer lateral lining or repair | 50%, up to $4,000 |
| Backwater valve (inside, with permit) | 50%, up to $1,600 |
The property must be connected to Halton’s wastewater system, so rural homes on septic don’t qualify. Each subsidy is paid once per property. We prepare the permit, invoice and photos.
As a waterproofing company serving Halton Hills, we handle interior basement waterproofing, exterior basement waterproofing, stone foundation repair and sump pumps. Searching for basement waterproofing near me in Georgetown or Acton? We come to you.
We also waterproof crawl spaces under older Georgetown and Acton homes, and handle pipe severance and capping when weeping tile is disconnected from the sanitary sewer.
Not sure which one you need? It comes down to how water enters, your foundation type and access around the house.
With interior waterproofing, also known as internal basement waterproofing, nothing outside gets disturbed. We cut a trench around the inside perimeter, set new weeping tile, add a drainage membrane on the walls and send the water to a sump pit. It’s the safest choice for 1800s stone foundations in Georgetown and Acton. Expect $100 to $240 per linear foot.
Exterior waterproofing stops water at the source. We expose the foundation to the footing, repair cracks and mortar joints, apply a waterproof membrane, install new weeping tile, then backfill and restore the landscaping. It suits poured and block walls in Georgetown South, Delrex and Moore Park. Expect $150 to $400 per linear foot.

North Georgetown drains to the Credit River, Silver Creek and Black Creek. The south drains to Sixteen Mile Creek. Conservation Halton, Credit Valley Conservation and the Grand River Conservation Authority all cover parts of town.
Acton dates from the 1820s and Georgetown’s core from the mid 1800s. Stone and rubble walls were never built to keep water out.
Delrex went up in the 1950s, Moore Park in 1962, and Georgetown South from 1989 onward. Each has its own weak points, from clay tile drains to settlement cracks.
Our free inspection checks your walls, drains, sump and grading, and shows you what needs fixing and what doesn’t.
What every job includes:
We’re recognized by the Town of Halton Hills as an approved contractor. Over 20 years we’ve waterproofed more than 300,000 linear feet of foundation walls and installed about 700,000 feet of membrane and weeping tile. Our office is at 1307 Kamato Rd., Mississauga, ON L4W 2M2. Hours: Monday to Friday 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday and Sunday 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., with emergency response by phone for active flooding and sewer backups.
Yes. We avoid digging against fragile stone where we can, repoint the joints, and use interior drainage that keeps water off the floor while the wall stays stable.
No. Halton’s program requires a connection to its wastewater system. We can still fix rural wet basements at a fair price.
It depends on your watershed. Conservation Halton, Credit Valley Conservation and the Grand River authority all cover parts of Halton Hills. We’ll tell you during the inspection.
We drive in from Mississauga. Active leaks get priority, and most inspections are booked within a few days.
For stone foundations, interior is usually safer. For poured or block walls, exterior often makes more sense. The inspection decides.
That depends on the work. A weeping tile disconnection with a sump can be fully covered up to $6,500, and a backwater valve drops by half.
Backwater valves and some drain work need a permit. We pull it.
Yes. Our 25-year warranty goes with the house.
